Cops Set For Pay Rise
Lately, there was a news regarding the government will increase the salary of the policeman in our country.
According to our beloved Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, the public service department had already drafted a proposal for a salary increase for the police force and it was preparing for a initial study to be presented to the government.
In the news, I’d found that our Prime Minister admitted the current salary scheme for the 95,000- strong force was “not high” and could be “the cause of other problems, including the related to bribery and corruption.”
In my opinion, I don’t think that even though the government increased the salary of the blue man and blue girl, while this will not really stop the bribery and corruption of our police in this country.
As for
I’d one experience before about this. One unlucky night, I was talking on the phone while driving, and eventually get caught by a police car, while as usual they were both in it. When I scrolled down my car window, as usual the need my I/C, and my driving license to check my status. Due to I’m in a rush to my friend’s, when one of the policeman asked me why did I against the rules, I just stopped him by saying “ cepat bagi saya saman.”
I could guarantee that both of them were shocked of my reaction, and the one who heard my “offered” was blur standing there didn’t know what to do. So the other police man approached me, and told me “ Adik, saman mesti melebihi Rm 200 punya, are u sure u mau?” what a typical Manglish.
So I asked them “bang, boleh settle tak?” and for sure you guys will know what happened next, and eventually I just lost RM 10 instead of RM 200.
So, it is obvious that even though if the government doesn’t increase the salary of the blue mans and the blue girls, their salary will be very “high” because of the “commission” that they get from us.
As in conclusion, if I had an opportunity to meet pak Lah, I would tell him why doesn’t the government just increase the innocent publics’ salary in order to make our life more better, especially contributing some “commission” to our “friends”.
